International CME on Diabetes Care
in Asian Indians
October 14 and 15, 2000
Invitation to Physicians of Indian origin and Physicians providing diabetes health care delivery to Asian Indians - to participate in the International CME on Diabetes Care in Asian Indians on October 14 and 15, 2000
1.REQUEST FOR ADDRESSES OF CONTACT PERSONS PROVIDING DIABETES HEALTH CARE TO ASIAN INDIANS
2.REQUEST FOR ANNOUNCEMENT IN WEB SITE, JOURNALS OF YOUR ORGANIZATION
All APDF members will be exremely grateful if you can kindly give us the contact address of a physician of Indian origin or a any group actively involved in organizing diabetes health care delivery specific to Asian Indians.
We are interested in organizing a two day CME on DIABETES CARE IN ASIAN INDIANS LIVING ABROAD along with the Annual Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Diabetes Federation on October 14 and 15, 2000 in Hyderabad.
We have been reading a lot of information and hearing about the sincere efforts of the Governments in other countries and the Physicians of Indian origin in identifying the problem of diabetes in Asian Indians as well as implementing the specific management strategies.
In India too, diabetes and coronary heart disease are rapidly emerging as major killer diseases. The large data on diabetes as available abroad, experiences of the treating physicians, guidelines by the policy makers, and the role of the health educators specific to diabetes care in Asian Indians will immensely benefit the large number of physicians in India who are increasingly being burdened with diabetes and CHD.
We wish to listen to the problem as well as the solutions in health care delivery from at least 5 physicians from abroad involved in diabetes management among Asian Indians.
We propose a two day CME on DIABETES CARE IN ASIAN INDIANS along with the Annual Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Diabetes Federation on October 14 and 15, 2000 in Hyderabad.
We will be able to assist the domestic air travel between Hyderabad and Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta or Madras, as well as local hospitality to the 5 physicians who will be willing to address the delegates at the IX APDF 2000.
Kindly oblige and help us in contacting the interested physicians who would be willing to help us in this regard.
